LETTINGS NEWS:- Another rule change for landlords reinforce need for lettings agents
Yet another set of new laws concerning the private rental sector come into effect in October – and they reinforce the case for buy to let investors instructing lettings agents to help them keep across their ever-changing responsibilities. The changes concern:
- How to end tenancies when landlords need to sell their properties
- The appropriate paperwork which must, by law, be issued to tenants; and
- The definitions of Homes in Multiple Occupation, applying to larger rental properties.
Buy to let remains a solid investment which provides good returns to landlords, and of course there are good reasons behind these new regulations. However, that doesn’t make them any less complex – so expertise and experience are required to keep across and administer these new rules.
