LETTINGS NEWS: Exeter rental income now the highest in the region
Letting property in Exeter provides landlords with some of the highest rental incomes in the country according to research by the National Housing Federation.
Average rents in parts of the city go up to £840 per month, equivalent to 45 per cent of local earnings – a ratio topped only by Cotswolds and Bath according to the survey, which analysed the rental market across the UK but outside of London.
In east Devon the highest rental average is £687 or 35.6 per cent of local earnings.
Elsewhere in the region, Torbay monthly rents go up to £582 while in Teignbridge they hit £658 and in the South Hams – including high-profile affluent locations such as Salcombe and Dartmouth – the figure is £716.
