New figures show strong housing market in the southwest
House prices in south west England have risen 3.6 per cent in the past year – that’s more than in the south east or London. The figures come from the latest house price index produced by Rightmove. – a year ago a typical south west home cost £298,087; – today that home would cost £308,275; however, the market is tightening with homes taking a little longer to sell. As always, our advice is to ask a local estate agent how your neighbourhood is performing; the Rightmove figures cover a large region and can give only a broad snapshot of the market.
