SALES NEWS:- House prices set to rise long-term as demand exceeds supply

There’s been a big rise in local house building recently – Exeter is one of the country’s fastest-growing cities – but a new survey by a property consultancy shows demand still outstripping supply with one inevitable consequence: house prices rising in the long-term house-building has increased 49% in the past three years; but Britain still needs over 100,000 more new homes a year; the biggest need is in fast-growth areas across southern England. The good news for existing owners, or those getting on the ladder now, is that their home is likely to grow in value over time; and although the housing market always dips and rises, the long-term trend for sellers is that there will be a steady supply of potential buyers.
