We live in a wonderful city – more plaudits for Exeter’s quality of live
There have been two more high-profile boosts for Exeter. The first is in a survey called ‘Investing in Britain: Cities for the Future’. This investigates the growth potential of 24 cities across the UK and has discovered:
- Exeter is top for Quality of Life, beating many much larger cities;
- Quality factors include green space, low crime rates and air quality;
- Exeter comes 10th for infrastructure, including broadband and transport.
Exeter has also been praised in The Guardian newspaper, which says “this city’s time has come.” It singles out top eating places in Topsham, housing hot spots like Pennsylvania and St Leonards, a string of outstanding schools, and the city’s proximity to “beaches, hills, wilderness, astonishing food producers and hobbity old country pubs.” Sounds good to us!
